Julia Podgorbunskaya, Senior Business Valuer/Principal

Julia is the founder, principal and senior business valuer at Professional Business Valuers. She established the practice in 2016 in response to the growing demand from the clients at her other consultancy, Professional Business Plans, for professional business valuation services. As the senior business valuer at Professional Business Valuers, Julia leads all the business valuation projects, ensuring that the services are of the highest quality and in compliance with Australian and global professional and ethical valuation standards.

Julia has been running her first professional practice, Professional Business Plans, since 2013. As the head planner, she manages the projects on business analysis and planning, market analysis, business strategy development, business case and feasibility studies, financial modelling, and preparation of equity or debt finance raising documents.

Before establishing and running her own professional practices, Julia spent over 17 years working as a senior finance professional with a number of leading multinational corporations, financial institutions and private companies, including Accenture, Tyco International, Sakhalin Energy Investment Company, the World Bank and Toga Group. Her extensive corporate experience brought a valuable exposure to best practice in industries such as international management consulting, investment and financial services, mineral exploration, industrial manufacturing and environmental projects, and property development and construction, as well as direct collaboration with business executives, board members, shareholders and financiers.

Julia is a qualified accountant with a broad business background and a strong foundation in strategy, business, accounting and finance. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Accounting, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and is a member of CPA Australia (Certified Practicing Accountants).
